On June 24th, 2011, transcosmos inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya Ward, Tokyo; President and COO: Masataka Okuda; Securities code: 9715; hereinafter, transcosmos) obtained certification for the information security management system international standard ISO/IEC27001 at its Kumamoto BPO and Okinawa MSP business process outsourcing service centers.

The Kumamoto BPO Center, which was established in October 2008, mainly provides business outsourcing services (operations support, including order processing and customer support) and help desk services (IT and ERP support desks). The Okinawa MSP Center, which was established in November 2007, provides round-the-clock, 365-day-per-year data-center system monitoring and help-desk services.

Since obtaining information security management system standard certification for its contact center services at its MCM Center Komagome in March 2005, transcosmos has gradually expanded the number of its registered businesses, with a total of 21 certified call centers in Japan so far. Kumamoto BPO Center and Okinawa MSP Center are the first transcosmos BPO-type businesses to obtain certification.
